Hello Millie Keith and Laylie Colbert fans. Hannah Loviisa loves this series too and she is working to get them back in print and needs our help. Hannah is gathering a group of girls (and moms, sisters, etc.) together to write letters to the company and ask them to sell the rights.

To find out more about this project, you can join Hannah's facebook page or contact her via her blog.

I hope you will join in helping make these books available to another generation! Spread the word!

Stats aren't always boring, so I took a throwback and wanted to share my five most popular posts from 2015. As you can see, the A Time 2 Write blog is by no means a solo show. Thank you to everyone who contributed this year with artwork, photography, interviews, guest posts and, of course, your time. Because of you, blogging is a delight.

What are your favorite Christmas books or movies? Mine are:

1. It's a Wonderful Life
2. Meet Me In St. Louis
3. The Best Christmas Pageant Ever
4. Miracle on 34th Street
5. A Christmas Carol
6. Charlotte's Hope

Wait, Charlotte's Hope is a Christmas story? So since Christmas happens right in the middle of the book, I think yes.

"People and light spilled into the clearing. Each group went to their assigned hut and light filled them too. The glow through the Spanish moss made the whole clearing seem ancient and enchanting . . . It seemed everyone in the clearing knew how Las Posadas worked and the 'innkeepers' in each hut turned away Mary and Joseph with great gusto. The seekers responded with growing cries, moans, and sounds of despair -- none more enthusiastically than seeker Uncle Jose. Charlotte was amazed . . . never before had she experienced the Christmas story like this."

Life has a way of happening with such exuberance that even pastimes we love are placed by the wayside. Other times life is quiet but the words still don't cascade like we wish.

What should a writer do when waiting for inspiration?

Answer: Discover the root of your lack of inspiration.

Last week several girls of all ages shared about how they have loved the Millie Keith series. Today the author of the books, Kersten Hamilton, will give us a glimpse into the journey she took to bring these endearing characters to us. We so appreciate you, Kersten!

Enjoy the read! If you have any other questions or comments for Kersten, please write them in the comments below as she'll be stopping by to check for them.

In the charming town of Newton, Kansas on June 27th, Charlotte's Hope history was made. Only a few miles away from where this book was originally brainstormed and written, a copy was signed by all three of the authors for the very first time.

We signed in our signature colors with our author nicknames and smiley faces below. Read the story behind Charlotte's Hope.

Faith and Life bookstore graciously hosted our celebration of all the work and fun put into this story.

Hey there.

I determined not to have a dead blog for the summer but then I thought, "Hey why not take a blogging break during July?" And so I did. And it was great . . . but now I'm back.

Before I get into my posts lined up for August, I just want to recap and give some personal praise to the Lord for all He's done this summer (so far). Here's a brief touch in on a few of the recent highlights . . .
