Warning: I’m about to pour out 10 things I’m thankful for. They may be cliché, but I can not take them for granted.

1. Family. No really, my family is truly amazing. They are hilarious, sweet and caring. How many times have they saved the day for me? Countless. Thanks guys for being so gracious and forgiving!

2. Work. I can not forget that every job I’ve ever had is a gift. God has never failed to provide work for me in His perfect timing. He is the Omniscient and the Omnipotent even over employment and finances.

3. Idaho. I adore this big, deserty, mountainy state. It smells like mint leaves and flowers in the summer and it provides ski slopes in the winter. I have loved adventuring and exploring this state—whether it’s the Capitol, the farmer’s market, the foothills, the Snake River or the huckleberry bushes.

4. Church. I don’t really have words to describe what a blessing the Body of Christ has been in my life. Their accountability, encouragement, fellowship and service are more than I deserve.

5. Salvation. I was lost and blinded by my sin, dead in my transgressions, without hope and without God. Then I encountered the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. My Holy God poured out His wrath on His Son as He died on the cross. I placed my faith in what He has done for me and God rescued me from the domain of darkness. It’s an incredible thing that I am washed clean of my sins by the blood of the Lamb and now I’m an heir with Christ. All praise to the God of my Salvation!

6. Friends. Not going to lie, I have the sweetest, coolest friends a girl could wish for. Each one is an answer to prayer. I love how my friends point me to Christ!  They will watch Tangled with me, read my books, make me laugh and share meaningful conversations with me.

7. Adventures. Every season of my life is a gift from my Father. He is so good to provide growing experiences for me and it’s an exciting life with Him!

8. God’s Word. I am simply crazy about this Book! It is a treasure and a joy. The Psalmist says it best, “I have rejoiced in the way of Your testimonies, As much as in all riches. I shall delight in Your statutes; I shall not forget Your word.” (Psalm 119:14, 16)

9. My House. I did warn this was a cliché list, did I not? God knew just what my family needed when He provided this awesome home for us. It sits on five acres and the view out my window is a picture--white fences, horses, fields, mountains, sky.

10. Spiritual Blessings. In Bible study we have been studying Ephesians this year and, wow, what a ride. I don’t always have every material blessing, but I ALWAYS have every spiritual blessing in Christ. (Ephesians 1:3) What more can I ask for?

“I will not boast in anything, no gifts no powers no wisdom,
but I will boast in Jesus Christ—His death and resurrection.”

I barely surfaced the chasm of gifts the Lord has blessed me with. My heart is singing as I wish you a very Happy Thanksgiving!
