October 29, 2014

I have to agree with Anne of Green Gables when she said, "I'm so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers."

October is fresh cider and curls of woodsy smoke.
It's overwhelmed with adorable pumpkins.
October means finally pulling out the rubber tubs stocked with scarves, sweaters, boots and gloves.
It's the dawn of a classic harvest celebration.
It’s for drinking books because you’ve been malnourished of fiction for too long.
It's for sitting on straw bales and laughing with friends in the fall rain.
October is meant for 800 pounds of Fuji apples.
It can not forget pie.
October is for searching for the perfect cream cardigan.
It's for daring red leaves unclasping from branches and dancing to the ground.
It's October.
